Code of Conduct

What use of the service is acceptable. Shipseo can write to websites, and that demands clear limits.

Last updated: 2026-08-31

These documents are pending completion with the entity details and legal review. Do not treat them as final.

Why this document exists

Shipseo is not a tool that only looks: it modifies real websites, in production, with real traffic. That capability is useful when pointed at what is yours and harmful when it is not.

These rules are a condition of using the service. Breaking them is grounds for account closure without refund.

Only on sites that are yours

Connect only sites you own or for which you hold the owner’s explicit, current authorisation.

If you manage client sites, make sure your contract with them covers automated changes to their SEO. Having the credentials is not the same as having permission.

No deceptive techniques

Do not use Shipseo to:

  • Show search engines content different from what people see (cloaking).
  • Generate pages whose only purpose is to capture traffic and redirect it elsewhere (doorway pages).
  • Publish content at volume, without review, solely to manipulate search results.
  • Impersonate a person, brand or company, or pass generated content off as somebody’s official statement.
  • Produce misleading content about health, money, safety, or any subject where a false claim can cause real harm.

Illegal or harmful content

Do not use the service to create or promote content that is illegal, violent, sexual involving minors, harassing, or aimed at harming specific people.

Use of the system

Do not attempt to circumvent your plan limits, access other accounts’ data, or place a load on the service that degrades it for everyone else.

Crawling a site consumes that site’s resources. Do not point it at servers that cannot absorb it.

How we enforce this

If we detect a breach we may suspend the account while we review it. If it is serious or repeated, we close it. If you think we got it wrong, write to hello@shipseo.dev — we will look again.
